For prevention when there is a recognizable risk of vitamin D deficiency in otherwise healthy people without absorption disorders (impairment of the absorption of vitamin D in the intestine) in children and adults. VIGANTOL® 500 IU has long proven its worth as a prophylaxis against rickets (calcification disorders of the skeleton during growth) and to prevent vitamin D deficiency. The small tablets provide the necessary extra vitamin D3 (colecalciferol). Ingredients/Ingredients
1 tablet contains 12.5 µg colecalciferol, equivalent to 500 IU vitamin D3.
Instructions for use
To prevent rickets, 1 tablet of Vigantol 500 IU daily (equivalent to 0.0125 mg or 500 IU vitamin D). The dosage must be determined by the treating doctor. In general, to prevent rickets in premature babies, 2 tablets of Vigantol 500 IU (corresponding to 0.025 mg or 1,000 IU vitamin D) are recommended daily
