Proper Phosophate Range for Different Kind of Aquatic Environment:
Freshwater Aquariums:
Fish-Only Tanks: Ideally be below 100 ppb. Levels up to 300 ppb are generally considered acceptable.
Planted Tanks: Slightly higher phosphate levels, around 100 to 1000 ppb, are acceptable and may even be beneficial for plant growth.
Marine (Saltwater) Aquariums:
Reef Tanks: Better be kept as low as possible, ideally below 30 ppb.Many reef keepers aim for levels near or below the detection limit of phosphate test kits.
Fish-Only Marine Tanks: ideally be below 100 ppb.
